DOWNTOWN - Eighth-graders in Tampa Preparatory School's middle school have joined Meals on Wheels Adopt-A-Route, joining several Tampa Prep faculty who have had an Adopt-A-Route for more than a year.
Donna Hatton, a veteran Meals on Wheels volunteer and Tampa Prep Parents Association community service coordinator, facilitated this new service activity. Kim Jago, a history teacher, thinks the school's motto, "A higher purpose than self," is what inspires the school community.
"Our mission directs us to go beyond," Jago said. "We can fulfill that higher purpose and go beyond the campus to connect with the community through service to those who need Meals on Wheels."
